Join us at Tigard High School for the City of Tigard 4th of July Fireworks Celebration - part of the One Big Fourth event!
Be a part of putting on this huge and beloved community event during its most exciting year - the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States! We expect 10,000 attendees.
After having a drone show for the past two years (and a community member-hosted fireworks show for several years before that), the city is returning to a traditional fireworks show - the biggest one yet, to celebrate America's 250th birthday. Primary viewing will be at Tigard High School in the grass baseball fields south of the stadium (stadium will be closed). Festivities will begin at 6pm and include multiple food trucks, kids' games and entertainers, and the Tualatin Valley Community Band. Fireworks begin around 10pm.
Volunteer shifts include: setup, kids' zone, teardown, and cleanup the morning of the 5th. All volunteer shifts include water bottle, a meal ticket, and access to a shade canopy.
Kids' zone and City Tent volunteers will be paired with a staff member. All volunteers will be checked against the Oregon Sex Offender Registry. All volunteers must also have a current waiver submitted through the Tigard Galaxy Digital website (the portal you're reading this in) and will wear a volunteer lanyard. Please be prepared for the elements - sunscreen (if earlier shift), layered clothing, and mosquito repellent.
