For the first time, the City of Tigard is hosting its 4th of July Celebration & Drone Show at a new location: Cook Family Park! We are looking for a few volunteers to help us pull off this event, which last year attracted about 10,000 people. The event starts at 6:00pm, and the drone show itself begins shortly after 10:00pm. Event shifts include helping us keep the fields where people will gather clean, and helping run the kids' games. The 6-8PM and 8-10PM shifts are for kids' games, and the 7-9PM and 9-11PM shifts are for trash pickup. We may also have volunteers sit at the City of Tigard booth or be delegated other responsibilities as needed throughout the two-hour shift.
Be prepared for late sunset and the evening weather--bring sunscreen for sunlight hours, a water bottle, and layers in case it rains or get breezy after the sun goes down.
